Who We Are - Our History

Cribbs, Inc. is a third generation family business, with strong employee loyalty and several second and third generation employees presently working. 
Mr. Harvey H. Cribbs began roofing buildings on military bases during World War II. After serving as a sheet metal worker in an essential defense industry during the war, Mr. Cribbs founded a roofing and sheet metal company. It was known as Harvey H. Cribbs Roofing & Sheet Metal Co. 
In 1962, the company was incorporated as Cribbs, Inc. Mr. Cribbs served as the president until his death in 1993. At the time his wife, Alta Cribbs, became the owner and CEO. Upon her death in 1999, Mr. and Mrs. Cribbs' daughters became the owners of the company.
Mr. Cribbs' personal and corporate philosophy was to preform the best quality work, meet the customers requirements and exceed their expectations. This philosophy is still practiced by the company. Because of its dedication to quality and service Cribbs, Inc. has built a reputation throughout the roofing and sheet metal industry with contractors and customers in Louisiana and Mississippi for preforming superior quality work for every customer on every project. 
With a foundation built over the fifty years of its existence, Cribbs, Inc. is financially sound and can stand behind their work from generation to generation. Cribbs, Inc. is a leader in the roofing and sheet metal industry offering a variety of roof systems and all aspects of architectural sheet metal work. During these fifty years, Cribbs, Inc. has built long term relationships with contractors, architects, customers and suppliers. Cribbs Inc. is looking forward to serving Baton Rouge and the South Central Region in future generations.
