Mr. Harvey H. Cribbs began roofing buildings on military bases during World War II. After serving as a sheet metal worker in an essential defense industry during the war, Mr. Cribbs founded a roofing and sheet metal company. It was known as Harvey H. Cribbs Roofing & Sheet Metal Co. In 1962, the company was incorporated as Cribbs, Inc. Mr. Cribbs served as the president until his death in 1993. At this time his wife, Alta Cribbs, became the owner and CEO. Upon her death in 1999, Mr. and Mrs. Cribbs' daughters became the owners of the company.

Cribbs, Inc. is a third generation family business, with strong employee loyalty and several second and third generation employees presently working.

During these fifty years, Cribbs, Inc. has built long term relationships with contractors, architects, customers and suppliers.
